Fashionistas like Kate Moss make popular, designer wear and many trends, leaving people craving smaller, more lean bodies of their own to fit in size zero gowns. The upshot of this is that they must get active and lose weight in order to fit in these fashionable designer gowns. Women today see being thin as a way to belonging in today`s world and in their own groups. Falling dress sizes and crash dieting is very bad and needs to be correctly handled from theoff because of the risks of crash dieting with future health issues.
One of the first things you have to take when losing weight is to study what you want from it. Preparation is a primary element to losing weight because this is what helps with building up your stimulus and motivation. Consequently before starting any weight loss program, pick up and pen and paper and write down some milestones that you can successfully achieve. A good start is weighing yourself, recording the weight down and then setting 7 day targets of 1-2kgs or monthly targets of 8�12lbs.
Exercising is not required but it can help by speeding up the weight loss process, resulting in a healthy approach, if you are exercising off the body fat and keeping your muscles and organs working. So if you enjoy hiking or dog walking, start doing this for 20 minutes a day, or take up new activities such as squash, badminton or wrestling. If you’re not an exercise type or are a little self conscious of exercising in front of people then try using a stepper or a rowing machine in the comfort of your own home.
Why not reward yourself to a new top or DVD, for the tough work you have put in. After reaching a few of your short term targets, reward oneself or you may lose motivation and longing to carry on, which won’t help with achieving your targets. Even the infrequent snack won’t harm, as long as it helps you to refocus on losing the weight and reaching the targets. It would certainly be worth it to keep you hurtling towards your goals and help you to find the newer, more active you!
Dieting, can make us upbeat and confident. Lots of people try to diet in the new year in preparation for their summer holiday or just to appear good when the hot weather comes. The panic of not being able to wear that new bikini in the summer because of extra turkey you consumed at Christmas will spur you on to drop weight that bit more.
After all the difficult work, the thought of getting into the gown or clothes that you couldn’t previously can help to heighten your self esteem and make a greater you, this is why we do it.
